Annual Spring Break Chorale Tour Slated for March 19-27
The Calvary University Chorale will be traveling over Spring Break in March for their annual Chorale Tour. They will leave Calvary on Monday, March 18 and return on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. The Chorale consists of 20 members under the direction of Jeremy Schell on tour. Dr. Haekyung An also directs Chorale classes at CU to prepare the students for tour. This year they will travel west to Colorado to perform in a variety of venues, including Churches, Christian schools and a concert in the park. Along with sharing what Calvary has to offer to upcoming students, our purpose of this year’s tour, is to inform those in the local area about Calvary University’s Innovation Center in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Chorale will be singing at the Bandstand in the Park in Fort Morgan for the community to come and hear the wonderful music and testimonies and to get a taste of what the Innovation Center has to offer. We are grateful for all the Churches and families that are willing to host our students each year for their tour and look forward to hearing how God moves in the lives of our students and those they minister to along the way.
See the tour schedule below and if you live or are visiting the area stop in and hear the Chorale perform.

The Calvary University Chorale’s annual Spring Concert Tour is now complete and the students have gone back to their regular schedules. All Calvary Faculty, Staff and Students had the opportunity to hear this year’s concert based on “The Story” in a recent chapel service. This production was a moving presentation of the Bible in readings, video and song. It portrayed the events from Creation’s beginning to Christ’s resurrection. The gospel was proclaimed for all to see and hear. This year’s concert involved, not only the entire Calvary Chorale, but several Praise Band Members as well, all within this exciting concert presentation.
From Jeremy Schell, the director: My vision for this year’s and following tours was to take the Chorale to a new “destination” city that would challenge their worldview and expand Calvary’s reach.
I chose to sing The Story on this tour, which is an evangelistic journey through the scriptures complete with narration, synchronized video, and a praise band. This presentation is engaging to multiple generations and gives a clear presentation of the gospel message.
Our students performed well, developed deeper friendships, and were an absolute joy to work with. This was a relatively young Chorale, and also the first time we traveled with a praise band.
I believe our students were challenged spiritually and God’s spirit was moving among our students as much as He was moving in our audiences.
We intend to take the Chorale to Costa Rica in 2018 and continue the desire to expand students’ worldviews.
NOTE: The trip to Costa Rica is open to the community as well as Calvary Students. You do have to be able to sing as this will be a combined Chorale.
If you are interested in going or would be interested in sponsoring a student contact Jeremy Schell via email [email protected] or Teresa Purinton at [email protected] for more information. A $50.00 deposit is required by April 15, 2017 so don’t delay.
