Portraits of Calvary, December 16, 2016

In Loving Memory

On December 10, we lost someone who was important to Calvary and even more important to me.  My grandfather, Harold Grimm, is now in the presence of the Lord after 85 years.  If you attended or worked at Calvary during 1987-1997, you probably remember his joyful, caring spirit as he served the Lord in the cashier’s office.  The 1996 Crown yearbook was dedicated to Grandpa and my grandma, Thelma, and said about him, “His interest in the lives of individuals is a ministry that is unusual in today’s fast-paced society.”  Even after retiring and moving to Arizona, he and Grandma would travel back to help with KLJC Care-a-thons for many years.  When traveling was no longer possible, he still ministered to Calvary through faithful prayer and support.  I don’t believe that my Grandpa ever met a stranger!  He loved to tell stories and was an avid fisherman.  He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that he is free from earthly pains.

Memorial Service Information

A memorial service will be held at Thornydale Family Church in Tucson, Arizona, on Sunday, December 18, at 2:00 p.m. MST.  A second service will be held here in Kansas City at Blue River Bible Church on December 22.  Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the service following at 6:00 p.m.
