Weekly Portraits of Calvary Life
For the second year in a row, fifty-five students have been enrolled in J-Term. Those students took advantage of this week before the next cycle begins to lighten their future course load by taking one, week-long class. Classes met from 8:00 to 1:00, Monday through Friday, and also had reduced tuition rates and service fees. Some students participated in class on campus, while others used the online format. Old Testament Summary, Administrative Process, Songwriting, and Cultural Anthropology are just a few of the classes offered this week. In the picture above, Dr. Teddy Bitner taught the American Military History class about firearms.

Weekly Portraits of Calvary Life
Fifty-five students have participated in this week’s J-Term classes. That is the highest J-Term enrollment in many years. While many of the students came back to campus to attend these classes, some viewed the sessions online. J-Term is beneficial for students looking to lighten their course load in the future by taking one class this week before all the others start. The flexibility of online participation is an added bonus! The courses offered this week were Bible Study Methods/Hermeneutics, Counseling Cross-Culturally, American Military History, Music Technology, Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, and Conflict Resolution.
Dr. Gromacki taught Bible Study Methods/Hermeneutics.
Ken Tibberts taught Counseling Cross-Culturally.
Dr. Bitner taught American Military History.
Dr. Cone taught Ethics.
Dr. Hessel taught Conflict Resolution.

J-Term 2017
Forty-two students cut their semester break short so that they could participate in J-Term 2017. The week can be intense, with class meeting for six hours each day and assignments to be completed before and after class. However, it is an excellent opportunity to complete a class in a short time period in order to lighten the course load in the future. Classes are usually small, and the atmosphere is more relaxed than during the semester. It has been nice to have students back on campus this week, and we look forward to welcoming the rest next week.
